A 5×5 workout strength program or aka stronglifts 5×5 training program is good for beginners to build strength, athletes to build muscle mass and someone looking to just switch up their program.
The principal of 5×5 or stronglifts (sl) is obvious, each workout includes five reps each set for five sets. We personally prefer to do these sets as supersets. As for the exercises done, the 5×5 routine recommends working each body part at least twice a week. This means compound 5×5 exercises should be mostly used with a few isolation exercises to fill gaps.
