The side plank twist is one of my all time favourite exercise for building the obliques. A place where a lot of people go wrong in training there Abs is either training their obliques ineffectively or completely neglecting them altogether. Your obliques need love to ya know. And for good reason too! The role that they will play in shaping your abs is crucial. They will create so much shape and sharpness that simply won't come from just doing crunches
